Guillermo del Toro discusses his intended version of the film 'Mimic'.

The Mimic is a British shown on Channel 4, starting 13th March 2013. The series centers on the fortunes of Martin Hurdle, an everyday maintenance man with an uncanny ability to mimic voices and stars Terry Mynott in the lead role.

Based on a true story, ‘the Narrator’ is befriended by his young new neighbor, after he joins the local newspaper team. Obsessed with the idea that ‘the Kid’ may be a sociopath, ‘the Narrator’ goes to extreme lengths to uncover the truth about him. After unsettling rendezvous, the truth he finds is anything but what he expected.

Businessman Chip Panoptic shows up at a former employee's home with a strange plan. After losing his job, his best friend, and moving from Detroit to California, Chip wants to help a group of antisocial apartment-dwellers rediscover their sense of community and the value of old-school friendship. The problem is that Chip himself has little experience in either category. This is a dramatic comedy about a man struggling to redeem himself by recapturing the spirit of his lost best friend.

Matsuda Shunji, a freshman of Amagasaki High School in Osaka faces a difficult decision regarding the revelation of his Korean name, Lee Jun-Chi. The teenager is aware of the difficulties of living in Japan with a Korean name, and so dreads the day when he is supposed to make this decision. He ultimately meets a loneliness whereby we are left to witness the outcome of his dilemma.

Having quit work for the failed television voice over session Martin is now jobless and minus an agent as Steven, depressed by his mother's death, wants time to himself. Neil, newly dumped by Jean, agrees to be Martin's agent and gets him a spot busking at the shopping mall. However he does very badly compared to the violinist and the human statue and is almost arrested for not having a licence whilst back home he is visited by the revenue man regarding a bill for unpaid tax.
